Fuego en La Noche

First I fought with the fire; consum'd Inwards, into a deep world within: A void immense, wild dark & deep, Where nothing was: Natures wide womb.

-The Book of Urizen, William Blake (1794)-

Fire in the Night is a series that returns to the dawn of humanity to recount the feats of fire, both as a force of knowledge, illumination and curiosity, as well as of passion, devastation and overflowing energy. The intimacy of the cave and the dancing light of the flame set the stage for the inner world of the psyche and the gut, where people reveal changing, theatrical and vulnerable faces. The shadows grow larger and separate from the personas, they take on a life of their own and confront them with titanic apparitions, demons, temptresses, divine spark and lustful torment.
